Project Overview

As a result of flood damage to the Bishop Street Footbridge Brisbane City Council have engaged QBC to replace the existing structure with a more flood resilient concrete structure.

Project Characteristics

The project will involve the construction of a 3 x 14m span concrete bridge complete with;

  • Demolition of existing bridge;
  • 8 x Bored piles;
  • Concrete Abutment, Pier Headstock, Column and Pile Cap construction;
  • Supply and erection of Precast Concrete Deck Units;
  • Construction of a cast in-situ concrete deck;
  • Supply and erection of pedestrian balustrade;
  • Bridge Lighting.

Key Project Outcomes

To replace this vital piece of infrastructure with a more robust, flood resilient footbridge and return permanent access across Enoggera Creek to local residents.
