Project Overview

This project included the pavement rehabilitation and asphalting of the Mt Gravatt Capalaba Road On ramp onto the Gateway Motorway.

 

Project Characteristics

The works included; 

  • Traffic Management of high traffic volumes (>100,000vpd);
  • Full ramp closures and detouring of traffic to facilitate works;
  • Management of Key stakeholders;
  • Bulk and detailed earthworks;
  • Treatment of unsuitable subgrade;
  • Stabilised pavement construction (approx. 500 tonnes);
  • Placement of EME 2 Asphalt Base (approx. 600 tonnes);
  • Placement of SMA14 Surfacing (approx. 200 tonne);
  • Placement of Gap Graded Surfacing (approx. 200 tonne);
  • Major RCP Drainage road crossing replacement.

Key Project Outcomes

This project will improve rideability and longevity of ramps.
