Project Overview

This project involves the strengthening of pavements and extension to acceleration lanes to facilitate the heavy vehicle decoupling facility at the Gatton-Esk Interchange on the Warrego Highway.

Project Characteristics

This contract includes;

  • Traffic Management including closures and detours;
  • Earthworks including profiling;
  • Drainage works;
  • Unbound Pavements;
  • Asphalt (AC14 + EME2) and Bitumen Seal; 
  • Electrical Works;
  • Road Furniture including guardrail;
  • Pavement Markings;
  • Landscaping.

Key Project Outcomes

This project facilitate the safe movement of trucks to and from the decoupling facility while also increasing the pavement life.
