Project Overview
This bridge is being constructed over the interstate rail line (Brisbane to Sydney) to service the new area of Flagstone which is halfway between Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
Project Characteristics
This project involves the construction of a 2 span concrete bridge including;
- Manufacture of PSC deck and kerb units;
- 39 x Bored cast in-situ piles;
- Pile cap footings to abutments;
- Construction of blade wall type abutments and pier;
- Supply and placement of elastomeric bearings;
- Erection of PSC deck and kerb units over interstate rail line under flagman direction;
- Construction of a cast in-situ concrete deck c/w expansions joints;
- Concrete barriers c/w Anti-throw screens;
- Footpaths and service ducts.
Key Project Outcomes
This bridge is a critical piece of infrastructure for the Flagstone area and will, over the next 30 years, see 12,000 families living and working in the local area.
