Project Overview

The V1 Veloway Bikeway Project from Lewisham Street to Juliette Street is package 1 of Stage D of the Veloway project which will extend 17km from Brisbane City to the Gateway Motorway off-ramp at Eight Mile Plains.

Project Characteristics

This contract includes;

• Earthworks;
• Pile driving to the bridge substructure;
• Concrete substructure construction;
• Manufacturing of Super T Girders;
• Erection of new bridge;
• Construction of a concrete cast in-situ deck;
• Manufacture and placement of bridge balustrade;
• Service works;
• Guardrail and fencing;
• 1,400m2 of concrete bikeway.

Key Project Outcomes

The V1, once completed, will run from Brisbane City to the Gateway Motorway off-ramp at Eight Mile Plains. The 17km connection will successfully provide the missing links within existing cycleway and ensure a safe and dedicated commute for cyclists. The V1 will help promote an active and healthy lifestyle.
