Project Characteristics
- Traffic management involving Multi Staging of works on the Pacific Motorway with a traffic count in excess of 110,000 vehicle per day
- Nightworks and lane closures to enable access for machinery and material deliveries and to perform Piling, Guardrail works and erection of major signage over the Pacific Motorway.
- The project was logistically challenging. Programming was very critical due to limited access to the site and construction had to be based around preserving the only access points which were from either end of the project.
- Tight timeframe for delivery of both bridge sub-structures for receipt of Principal supplied superstructures.
- 2200m of Reinforced Concrete bikepath with exposed aggregate edging
- Two Steel truss bridges using Loc Composite decking.
- Constructing one bridge and two culverts under 256kv transmission line with only 13m clearance.
Outcomes
- Maintenance of an existing and well developed working relationship
- Achievement of a tight milestone within the project despite a number of external factors
