Project Overview
Together with Springfield Land Corporation, Ipswich City Council has been planning for the construction of the Springfield Town Centre (North) Precinct. This planning particularly involves the delivery of Road 10 which joins Augusta Parkway, opposite the Cunningham Hwy exit road and finishes at Springfield-Greenbank Arterial Rd opposite the entrance to the Springfield College. The construction of this new bridge is part of the Road 10 capital works project currently under way and will complete this connection.
Project Characteristics
The project will involve the construction of a 3 x 20m span concrete bridge complete with;
- 60 x driven 550mm dia Octagonal prestressed concrete piles;
- Concrete Abutment, Pier Headstock, Column and Pile Cap construction;
- Supply and erection of Precast Concrete Deck Units;
- Construction of a cast in-situ concrete barrier;
- Supply and erection of bridge balustrade and pedestrian barrier;
- Construction of an on bridge service duct including service installation;
- 3.0m wide Pedestrian and Cyclist path over bridge.

Improved traffic flows through the Springfield North Precinct.
