Project Overview
As a result of the Australia Day 2013 Flood Event several bridges were damaged within the Somerset Regional Council boundaries. The bridge on Foggs Road in Harlin was one of the most severely damaged and it required full replacement.
Project Characteristics
The project will involve the construction of a 3 x 15m span concrete bridge complete with;
- Demolition and Removal of the existing timber bridge;
- Bridge Site Preparation;
- Cast in-situ concrete piles;
- Concrete Abutment and Pier Headstock construction;
- Supply and erection of Precast Concrete Deck Units;
- Construction of a cast in-situ concrete deck and kerbs;
- Supply and erection of bridge balustrade;
- Minor approach earthworks.
Key Project Outcomes
To repair flood damaged infrastructure and return permanent access to properties for local residents.
