Project Overview

With the introduction of paid parking at the Carindale Shopping Centre Translink fast tracked the upgrading of their Carindale carpark. The facility will provide local residents with a central hub to park their cars and access public transport services.

The site is located between Creek and Old Cleveland road (to the north of the shopping centre).

Project Characteristics

The project includes;

• parking for approximately 300+ cars, including spaces for motorcycles and disability parking bays;
• direct pedestrian links from the carpark to bus stops to the east of the facility;
• a safe parking area with lighting.

Key Project Outcomes

• Improve access to public transport for commuters and reduce traffic congestion;
• Provides commuters with a safe and convenient facility to park their cars and catch a bus;
• Helps encourage more people to use public transport;
• Encourages public transport as a cleaner and greener transport option.
