Project Overview

This project involved construction of a single span and three span bridge together with the approaches to the Keaveny Bridge on Kerry Road in Darlington.

Project Characteristics

This contract included;

• Traffic Management incl. Construction of a Side Track
• Earthworks;
• Drainage works;
• Foam Bitumen Pavements;
• Asphalt and Bitumen Seal; 
• Bridge construction;
• Cast In-situ Piles;
• Driven Prestressed Precast Concrete piles;
• Precast concrete deck units supply and erection;
• Bridge railings;
• Road furniture including guardrail;
• Pavement Markings;
  
• Landscaping.

Key Project Outcomes

This project increases flood immunity of these bridges, improved motorist safety, increased load limits and reduced maintenance costs to the Council.
