This project involves the demolition of an existing culvert and bridge structure and the construction of an eight span concrete bridge over Oakey Creek on electrified North Coast rail line, approximately 30 km south of Rockhampton..

This contract includes;

• Works during rail line shutdowns,
• Early access works;
• Bridge Construction;
  • Bored Piles,
  • Concrete Headstock & Abutments,
  • Supply & Erection of Precast Deck Girders,
  • Bridge Railings. 
• Demolition of existing bridge and box culvert.

Key Project Outcomes

This project is for the replacement of the strucutrally compromised bridge and box culvert and will signficantly reduce maintain costs for Aurizon.
